Rest In Peace, Dear Brother

Yesterday night, at 10.30pm, one of our brothers in Christ left this world to join Jesus in Heaven.

His name is Siow E Kent, and even as many mourn his loss, let us also rejoice, for he and his family accepted Christ into their lives a few months before he left us forever.

We are from this world, but not of this world. E Kent, you will be sorely missed by all who love you, your family, friends and the people whom you have inspired with your incredible strength, perseverance and sheer will power.

Let us keep our dear brother in our prayers that he will find eternal peace in Heaven alongside our awesome Daddy up there, as well as for his family, friend and all others who mourn his loss, that they will find comfort in the Lord.

If you weren't at CF last Friday..... (boo you!)... we announced that EASTER RALLY is back this year!!!

Hey, just a short post!

All of us will be getting back our results from our March test this week, and remember, however you did, as long as you know you kept a heart of integrity and surrendered your papers into the Lord's hands, praise the Lord with the results you have received from your hard work!

And please, don't be a kiasu Malaysian ;)

Back 2 School!

Sigh the holidays are over...

But now we're going back to school to begin a whole new term!

Prayer Items for the Week...!!!

Hey, just because we don't have prayer meetings during the holidays doesn't mean we still can't pray over the same prayer items for this week :)

1. New Pengetua - pray that God will send someone of integrity, love and kindness to lead our school, and someone who will also support the CF.
2. One of our teachers Mr. A who went through surgery on his broken arm.
3. Japan and the horrifying earth quake that struck.
4. Continue to uphold Australia and New Zealand as the people begin to patch up their lives again.

God is shaking the nations, the nations that thought they were isolated, safe, excluded - Australia, New Zealand now Japan? God is shaking us and telling us "Wake up! Wake up! Be alert for something great is coming!"

And whatever you do, do not treat the idea of quakes and floods happening all around the world lightly, just because it is not happening to us here in Malaysia. Thousands of lives lost would mean thousands of individual lives suffering, each going through their own pain, torture and loss of loved ones.

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come." (NIV, Mark 13:32-33)

So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. (NIV, Matthew 24:43-44)

There will be NO CF this Friday (11th March) but the school will be having a Moral program for the students, Morning and Afternoon Session combined.

Pastor Treffina (known as Miss Treffina to the Non-Christians) will be giving a motivational talk for the first half of the morning to all the non-Muslim students about how to...

control our EMOTIONS. :D

So do join in anyways for this Friday morning and give your support to her, as well as take the opportunity to greet her in person!

Are we able to live up to The Great Challenge, The Great Commandment, or The Great Commission?

This seminar is organized by Youth for Christ (YFC), an organization which focuses on teaching youths creative evangelism methods and practical ideas for personal evangelism. There will be fun, exciting sessions and workshops in store for you such as making scrap book cards, post-cards, jumping clay ornaments, and a slow motion video, all part and parcel of making evangelism more creative!

Not only that, participants also get to learn how to do follow-ups with non-believers as well as learn more about God and His love for us.

The speakers are Rob George (Director of South Australia Outreach and Church Ministry) and Lim Chien Chong (National Director of Singapore Youth for Christ). They are passionate men of God who are looking to spark a fire to serve God within the Youth!

Date: 15th-16th of March 2011
Time: 9am-5pm
