Kick the donkey

There was a Benjamite, a man of standing, whose name was Kish son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah of Benjamin. He had a son named Saul, an impressive young man without equal among the Israelites—a head taller than any of the others.

Now the donkeys belonging to Saul's father Kish were lost, and Kish said to his son Saul, "Take one of the servants with you and go and look for the donkeys." So he passed through the hill country of Ephraim and through the area around Shalisha, but they did not find them. They went on into the district of Shaalim, but the donkeys were not there. Then he passed through the territory of Benjamin, but they did not find them.

(taken from 1st Samuel verse 1)

Why a scripture about donkeys you may ask?

Let's put it in another scenario, if you lost your car and you went searching. From Klang you went to Shah Alam, from Shah Alam you went to Puchong, from Puchong you went to Melaka. Would you honestly find your car that you were searching for? In this situation, "Did you see my donkey?" Saul may ask. And mind you, donkeys can be found everywhere at those days.

Everyone is left searching for their donkeys. Which is something you pursue or spend a whole lot of your time for. From the girl/guy you like, winning your computer games, facebook, bad social activities and an unrealistic dream. You won't ever stop looking for your donkey. And sometimes you have to open your eyes bigger to see that the donkey you're looking for is a BAD donkey. Something not worth your time and effort. It's time to kick the donkey!!

There are many things that we have but the one thing we don't have is time. Maybe it will be a year or two or maybe 4 for some of us before we leave our high school/college and what not. Is there honestly enough time? Why are we stuck with all these donkeys that we pursue instead of focusing our attention on God and only him. We need to get back to him come on. He needs a 110% from us, not just 50%. He wants to be 24 hours a day of your life. Not just 2 minutes when you read the bible or pray.

I'm not sure if you feel a stirring in your heart after reading this but I sure hope you do. Jesus is all you need and everything you should live for. When else but now for you to divert your full attention towards him?

:D

Welcome, SEPTEMBER...

PMR and SPM are drawing really near...

Do keep our CF brothers and sisters who will be sitting for their major exam. Pray for wisdom and strength from the Lord. And that they'll be able to glorify the Lord with their results.

Do remember to uphold the H1N1 virus to the Lord too. The virus is mutating and it seems worse each day. Pray for God's protection over His people..

Godbless!
