what happened during camp

As you all know 1-4 June was CF CAMP 2008. *jumps for joy* Time to start from the very beginning. The first bus met together around 10 and left the school grounds at 11.10. They were the people who were sweating to help set up the place for the camper's use. The campers left for MBS Rawang at 2.30. After the introduction, the booklets and name tags were given out. Commandments and committee was read and everyone depatched to their dorms.

After everyone gathered again, the game Guardian Angel was introduced. Many people were excited to play the game and know who their MORTALS and ANGELS were. Hopefully everyone treated each other nicely. After the awesome time of Praise and Worship, there was a video presentation by Sung Lin. The topic was LIFE WITHOUT CAMP. Many feedbacks about it and we had a good laugh. Video should be uploaded at youtube soon? Group discussions after that.

TIME FOR DAY TWO
No doubt that the dorms were freezing cold. Some had a good night rest and some didnt. So much bonding. The girls experience temperature in the toilets. One toilet the water was VERY VERY Cold while another toilet was BURNING Hot. Pity us?

Devotion first. The topic was about "Ooo... L.O.V.E". A favorite topic among people especially the youths. We learn that there's more to Love than a relationship between a guy and a girl. But more to parent-child, siblings, friends, teacher-student and people and God love. The well known verse John3:16 was read.

Session One with Pastor Gurmit Singh was a great flashback to last two year's camp at Frasers. Those who attend that camp remember Him well. We were all up and fired to listen to the word of God. Though some were caught dosing off. We learned that day that we shouldn't mess with our lives and we are living in competition. Certain principals still stays and we need to check our heart. Born original, die copycat. We learned from Mark1:41 that us people may not have receive the certain touch from God or people. We must be aware to the people around of us that needs that amount of care from others and not hide them behind our eyes.

Telematch ! The first game was the wrapping person with toilet paper to become a mummy game. Sorry to the teams who chose their biggest member. This has no relation to the blog but i was laughing madness when the statement " our mummy got more black tissues than white tissues on him" HAHAH. okay enough of being random. NO RACISM around okay. The next game was a required person to be blindfold and they have to feed their group members while another group tries to distract by shouting.

Third was the coin game. Campers need to dive in the swimming pool to find coins within a certain amount of time. Everyone was up and about looking for the marble which cost more points than the coins. Later was water polo. Throw the volley ball ! Thank God there was no violence and no major injuries were made.

The night session came. The topic was on how The life of a man depends on his thoughts. Notes to ponder on.
-What you think of yourself determines how you carry yourself.
-We are how we say living on a survivor mechanism.
-The things of the world will condemn you
-John 10:10, The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy
-Demands of God: Come as you are. Demands of the world: Put something on before you come.
-Deal with whats inside of you

Then there was an altarcall for those who want the strength of God and many people went infront . Some non-christians were surprised on the speaking of tongues and the people that were slained. Questions were answered and they understood how these things came to happen.

Third Day.
Rise and Shine. Another time for devotion. Devotion really helps us BOND among our team members and we get to know them better. The topic this time was "Another lover?" Like many relationships, the start was the sweetest. We would always give our best to the one we love but some relationships come to a point where it has gone stale. God loves us anyway and He feels sad when we are apart from Him. We need to be committed to God.

Third session with Pastor Gurmit Singh (: . The topic on the POWER OF THE CROSS. A message from Philippians 2:5-8. Jesus didn't come to talk out of you, he came to walk with you.

Amazing Raze was up and we were delayed because of the rain. The game masters were all worried but thank God the rain stopped. Unfortunately the "BIG game" was cancelled. The games were judged with the amount of time required to complete the task and also teamwork. 6 stations there were. First was a sponge passing game from one end of the field to another and we gotta squeeze the water into a bottle.

Second was to find stickers + duck walk + frog jump. More like a physical game. Third game was where there were sweets in a bowl full of flour. We have to use our mouth to find and get it out and put into a bowl of water. Then from the bowl of water we need to get it out and put into a bowl. Yuck? HAHA. Fourth station was the members required to go in pairs and swim with a board and get a paper of a picture at the other side of the pool and come back and arrange the puzzle. Then it was time for Basketball ! Happy to those basketball players. The last station was full of obstacles. Required to touch the rings, walk on unsteady woods and hold hands across the planks. All exhausted after that. Good job to the Game Masters.

The Last session of the night came. It was on Ezekiel 47. The HOLY SPIRIT.

The altar call was very happening to the campers. Many of them cried and begin sharing their problems with one another. Amen to God for the breakthrough. The pastor also called for those who has desires on becoming a teacher. He also requested that siblings in camp to group together and begin praying for their family. That prayer was requested to be written down. Those who have "enemies" or problems with another person in camp was asked to apologize too.

CRAZY NIGHT is here. Group presentations. Some was real funny and some was just okay. Everyone really made an effort. Give a clap to yourselves =) The second part of crazy night was full of water splashing. However only some joined in because it was late and people need the sleep.

Last Day ;(
Almost everyone woke up late. Hence devotion was delayed.

The pastor was invited for the last time to speak for abit. Then he prayed for the committee and teachers/helpers. Prophesies and descriptions were made. Thank Pastor Gurmit for everything.
After pack up and lunch, the group winners were announced.

Yay them. The prizes were junks and snacks. Then it was the group photos. CHEEZE FOR THE CAMPERS. And it back to SMKSU grounds. Rain poured heavily and everyone was wet. Sincere sorries to those who had their stuffs/equipments and electronic things wet.

Really thank God for how the CAMP went.
